Over the last few years, since an unfortunate leg amputation, I decided to start sketching as I adjusted to a new way of life and recovery. Sketching has provided me great solace during this extremely difficult time. It has helped me slow down, allowing my body the time to heal and release hours of creativity and growth.
A while ago, my oldest daughter mentioned that she would love to see some of my sketches on placemats or a mug. This prompted me to create a few samples and I was particularly pleased with the mugs.
I then decided to gift these mugs to family, friends and clients, these were extremely positively received.
Someone else suggested that I should sell the idea online, and voila Sketch-a-Mug was born.
Over the last couple of years, I have completed around 150 sketches which are available on either coffee mugs, tea mugs and matching coasters.
The sketches range from the Big 5, a variety of birds, flowers, landscapes, pets, trees and basically anything that has caught my eye that could look good on a mug.
I encourage you to review my collection and make your selection. Please place an online order should you want to buy these for yourselves, your family or friends. The mugs make interesting and different Christmas gifts.
